Beijing, Juventus, Bate Borisov and now most importantly, Lecce: these are the games where Boateng has scored in the 2011-2012 season.
MILAN - Before yesterday there were three significant dates in the season for Kevin Prince Boateng. Three like the three he scored yesterday.
6th AUGUST 2011: Italian Super Cup.
In the final in Beijing, Milan played a tense first half where Sneijder's goal gave Inter the lead. At 0-0 Robinho almost beat Julio Cesar, and after the goal Ibrahimovic hit the post. In the second half the rossoneri moved up a gear with Boateng on form. He created the equaliser and then scored a tap-in himself to win the game 2-1.
21st AUGUST 2011: Trofeo Luigi Berlusconi.
Milan didn't select the injured Ibra and Inzaghi, while Pato and Robinho were on holiday following the Beijing trip. No goals in the first half but the rossoneri's ball possession was fantastic. They did go ahead through a fine volley from Kevin Prince Boateng. It finished 2-1, Boateng's strike being decisive.
19th OCTOBER 2011: Champions League.
He suffered an injury during the Barcelona game, and had to leave the field, robbing Milan of a vital creative outlet as he had set up three chances. At the San Siro, he returned against Bate Borisov, with a well taken goal in the second half.
23rd OCTOBER 2011:
On Friday Prince didn't train with the squad due to a knock on his knee, and he started the Lecce game on the bench. The first half was a nightmare for Milan fans: 3-0 to Lecce. In the restart Boateng, who later said he had been working hard at Milanello on shooting from distance, scored a spectacular, decisive and enthusiastic hat trick.
